We have a “Top CCO” and other cool updates!

Since opening our doors on April 1, 2001, TRIO has grown into much more than a full-service marketing communications agency. As a woman-owned business, we’ve embraced every opportunity to work hard, enjoy life and make a difference. This philosophy has guided us through more than two decades of creative excellence and impact which culminated this year in a major announcement.

In November 2024, Jenny Dennis, our president, EOS integrator and chief creative officer, was named one of The Top 50 Women Chief Creative Officers of 2024 by Women We Admire. Like Jenny, the women on this list are leading their organization’s creative departments, driving brand strategy and shaping marketing initiatives “through visionary design and artistic innovation.

This year’s list of incredible female leaders includes:

First and foremost, hell yeah. You go, Jenny! Secondly, this is more than a reason to celebrate. It’s another reminder that her leadership is just one of many elements that have shaped our story. (Since Jenny joined in 2017, TRIO has doubled in size and revenue.)

TRIO’s Recent Milestones

The TRIO Way is defined by our commitment to growth—not only for our clients but for our team and community. In just the past few years, we’ve celebrated some of our greatest developments, with Jenny spearheading their implementation:

1. We embraced the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). In 2022, we embraced our EOS journey. We launched TRIO’s Diamond Process in 2024—a proven framework that helps our team dig deep to ensure operations, creativity and results align seamlessly with our vision for the future and help our clients shine. Later the same year, Jenny received her EOS Master Integrator certificate to help take our efforts to the next level!
2. We made the move to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina’s, entrepreneurial hub. Moving to a larger office in the Harbor Entrepreneur Center marked a turning point, giving us a space that reflects our growth and supports the innovation our team strives for.
3. We launched The Creative Lab. This sound-proof, professional, multi-media space is our latest tool in helping Charleston-area nonprofits, businesses and creatives develop content that gets a reaction. With support from the whole team, we’ve compiled the equipment and knowledge to help clients tackle video projects, photography and podcasts with ease.
4. We advanced our DEI initiatives with a new partner. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion has grown stronger with the implementation of a more robust strategy – led by Shaniequa Washington, TRIO’s equity initiative partner – that reflects our mission to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
5. We supplied more than $100,000 in pro bono marketing services to five MORE Lowcountry nonprofits. During this year’s 18th annual CreateAthon, Team TRIO provided essential marketing services to local nonprofits across various sectors. We are proud to continue our legacy as the sole CreateAthon representative for the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Read our 2024 event recap here.

Each of these steps has allowed us to grow as an agency while staying true to our core philosophy: making a difference through transformative marketing.

TRIO’s evolution isn’t just about where we’ve been—it’s about where we’re going. As we continue to push boundaries and refine our processes, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of creativity and innovation. We’re looking at you, AI.
