Meet TRIO’s Newest Addition, Stephanie!

If you ever want to hear an I-can’t-believe-that-actually-happened story, all you have to do is talk to Stephanie Maples. She’s got enough material to fill several books full of juicy details from her years in the entertainment industry.

Stephanie has lived many lives, working in the fashion industry in New York City, serving as an agent in Beverly Hills, and putting in the hours as a junior publicist for A-list Academy Award-winning actors in Hollywood. She even spent time in Nashville, specializing in digital marketing strategies for artists such as Lady Antebellum, Sara Evans, Little Big Town, and Josh Turner — just to name a few.

From launching full website redesigns, online marketing endeavors, merchandise strategies and running full-time fan club programs, Stephanie found her true passion in the digital and social media realm. She later worked with Idea Den, where she handled all the digital branding strategy and fan club management for Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, STYX and The Doors estate.

Today, Stephanie serves as TRIO’s new social media marketing manager, and with her extensive background in the fast-paced world of entertainment and digital media, she is taking our social media service offerings to the next level.

Stephanie has big plans for our clients. Even though she’s only been here a couple of months, she already infused her innovative ideas and high-energy engagement strategies into our social media strategies — and we’ve seen some impressive results almost immediately.

The craziest part is, that’s just her resume. We took the liberty of asking Stephanie some of the deeper, more hard-hitting questions to help get to the core of who Stephanie Maples really is:

Who is one person you wish you could meet and why?

Madonna. Hands down. When I was little, I would invite all of my neighbors over for Madonna dance parties. We would play her latest album as loudly as we could while rocking her latest fashion trends — teased hair and all. She has always been an idol to me. If I ever met her in person, I’d probably try and coerce her into having an 80’s dance party with me.

What is one item you cannot live without?

My camera. I have always loved to travel and take pictures of places I’ve never been before. Lately, I’ve been taking more and more pictures of my family, which includes my beautiful daughter, Amelie, my fuzzy dog and my cuddly kitty cat.

What inspires you?

The places that I’ve lived and the people I’ve met along the way. I grew up in a small town in Virginia and I always dreamed of living in a big city. From my time in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville and now Charleston, I’ve been exposed to a lot of different cultures and people. It’s really allowed me to expand my horizons creatively.

What’s something that may surprise people about you?

You may have seen me in the background of some red carpet events. I used to be a publicist in Los Angeles, working with A-list actors who were frequent Oscar winners. So, I got to attend a lot of red carpet events and go to movie screenings with them.

What would the title of your memoir be?

“Not all who wander are lost.”

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I’m now a morning person. I have the cutest little alarm clock named Amelie who likes to wake me up earlier than I normally would — and I love it.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Charleston?

Pier 41 in Mount Pleasant. They have an amazing dollar oyster happy hour every week that I love to take full advantage of. I may or may not be on a first-name basis with the staff there.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

What’s that power where you just read something and become an immediate expert, like in the Matrix? That.

What’s your favorite thing about TRIO so far?

I love collaborating with everyone, brainstorming ideas and being creative. Everyone here brings something special to the table, and after working remotely, I really missed working in a team setting. Also, the clients we work with are amazing.
