Jessica Munday

With over 30 years of experience in marketing, Jessica is a visionary entrepreneur, lifelong learner, and passionate leader dedicated to helping businesses and nonprofits achieve their goals through creative, compelling strategies. She is the founder and CEO of Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO), one of South Carolina’s most established full-service marketing agencies, serving clients nationwide since 2001.

Jessica’s journey began while pursuing her business management and marketing degree, during which she gained hands-on experience as an intern, marketing assistant, and receptionist at an advertising agency. Always eager to learn, she seized every opportunity to grow professionally while balancing the demands of putting herself through college and caring for her grandfather. Inspired by her exposure to the healthcare industry, Jessica earned her master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She became the first pediatric administrative resident at MUSC Children’s Hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Charles Darby and later completed an administrative fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Virginia.

These formative experiences shaped Jessica’s career, including her role as the first webmaster at CHKD, where she led the hospital’s adoption of internet-based business operations. After successfully building a web department, Jessica returned to Charleston and established TRIO, focused on three core areas: marketing, events and web.

Under Jessica’s leadership, TRIO has become known for going above and beyond for its clients and creating award-winning campaigns, strategic brand development and impressive digital solutions. Since day one of her entrepreneurial journey, her holistic approach—blending marketing, events and web strategies—has established TRIO as a leader in the industry and a trusted partner to clients in South Carolina and beyond.

Jessica’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond TRIO as she is the co-founder and partner of Cloud Nine Nonprofit Advisors, a South Florida-based consulting firm that helps nonprofits transcend challenges and maximize their impact. She and her husband, Capt. Jamie Holcombe, run Full Circle Fishing Charters, a family-owned sportfishing and boat concierge business committed to sharing the joy of boating and fishing with others. Additionally, Jessica is the head of her commercial property owners’ association and the owner of Davannah Properties LLC, a real estate holding company.

Her dedication to excellence and her passion for empowering others have earned her numerous accolades, including SC Biz’s Best Woman-Owned Business award and Best Mentor by She Shines magazine. A steadfast advocate for developing future leaders, Jessica takes great pride in the internship opportunities she has created, mentoring dozens of aspiring students over the years. For more than a decade, she shared her expertise as an adjunct professor, teaching marketing and social media at the College of Charleston and MUSC.

Her impressive career has also been recognized with the Charleston AMA Marketer of the Year award, the Giving Back award and president of the MUSC Alumni Association, race chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, celebrating her leadership and contributions to her community. Through TRIO’s annual CreateAthon initiative, Jessica has spearheaded the donation of over $1.5 million in pro bono marketing services to 90 nonprofits along South Carolina’s coast.

Jessica plays an active role in the global Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), where she was a founding member and the first female president of the EO Charleston chapter. Her leadership within the organization continues as she currently serves as area director for EO’s U.S. East Region. Additionally, Jessica contributes her expertise as a board member and board chair-elect for the Harbor Entrepreneur Center, supporting entrepreneurial growth and innovation in the region.

Of all her roles, Jessica considers being a mom her most cherished. When she’s not guiding businesses or empowering nonprofits, Jessica enjoys traveling, writing and spending time with her family. She is a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and resides on Johns Island, SC, with her husband, their three children, David, Hannah and Hudson, and their pets, Minnie and Easton.
