Applications for this year’s CreateAthon are now open and we couldn’t be more excited! Team TRIO will be participating in our 13th annual CreateAthon on October 24 and this year’s theme will bring the magic of Disney to our office. For many, Walt Disney embodied hope, wonder, and imagination. With this in mind, TRIO will spend 24 hours creating fabulous pro-bono creative work for five local nonprofits to help support their missions.

You might be asking yourself, what is CreateAthon

CreateAthon is a 24-hour creative marathon where we provide professional marketing and communication services to nonprofits on a pro-bono basis. Riggs Partners created this all-nighter for charity in 1998 and our team committed in 2007. In years past our office has rocked out to the 80s, channeled our inner superpowers and took a ride in Willy Wonka’s glass elevator all in an effort to live out TRIO’s philosophy; work hard, enjoy life and make a difference. We are proud to say that TRIO is the official CreateAthon partner for the Lowcountry. Over the years, CreateAthon agencies have given more than $20 million in free services to thousands of amazing causes around the globe. Since 2007, TRIO has provided more than 150 pro-bono projects to over 50 nonprofits.

If you are a nonprofit in the Lowcountry and are interested in receiving free marketing materials, be sure to put in an application! Applications open July 1 and we will be accepting applications until August 16. Five amazing nonprofits will be sprinkled with pixie dust and sensational branded marketing materials. Our team selects four nonprofits and one will be chosen via People’s Choice voting on our website. Selected organizations receive services like marketing and fundraising plans, logos, websites, direct mail pieces, banners, brand identity packages, website assessments, social media plans and more! You must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to participate. We invite you to view some of our past recipients.

Be sure to follow TRIO’s socials to participate in all of the fun. People’s Choice voting will begin in mid-September and will be promoted on both our website and socials. #TeamTRIO couldn’t `be more excited and honored to make a difference in our community. Don’t worry; we won’t be turning into pumpkins at midnight. As Snow White happily stated, we will be “whistling while we work.”
