It’s time for the community to decide which one of our CreateAthon finalists will receive our People’s Choice spot during TRIO’s 13th annual CreateAthon. Voting is open from Sept. 6-15, 2019. The nonprofit with the most votes will become TRIO’s fifth and final recipient of pro bono marketing services. You may only vote one time. Be sure to watch the videos provided to learn more about these worthy nonprofits. All are doing incredible work in our community. Once you vote, be sure to share and spread the word. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties. All of the services are free of charge, and it is a 100% volunteer organization. Through these services, suiting, employment retention, and career development, Dress for Success provides the tools to build confidence and change lives.

Friends of Caroline Hospice

Friends of Caroline provides quality of life care that offers hope and encouragement to those nearing the end of life’s journey and support for their family, friends, and the community. This organization honors those they serve with compassionate home health, hospice, and personal care services that apply the highest quality clinical practices toward allowing the patients to maintain a sense of independence, quality of life, and dignity.

James Island Outreach

The James Island Outreach was formed by area churches coming together to help those who needed assistance with the rebuilding of their storm-damaged homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo. Over these past nearly 30 years, the mission of JIO has evolved, and now provides crisis relief for Folly Beach and James Island residents in need of food and/or financial assistance for medications and utility maintenance.
