It’s time for the community to decide which one of these amazing CreateAthon finalists will receive the People’s Choice spot for TRIO’s 14th annual CreateAthon. Voting is open September 7-13, 2020. The nonprofit with the most votes will become the fifth and final recipient of our pro bono marketing services. Be sure to read below to learn more about these worthy nonprofits. Junior League of Charleston

In 2017 the Junior League of Charleston Diaper Bank was created to fill the gap of an overlooked need in the community. The nonprofit organization began collecting diapers to support a diaper bank, which distributes diapers and pull-up training pants free of charge to families. The Junior League of Charleston has helped support children and families who lack access to basic baby needs by distributing more than 162,500 diapers to Lowcountry families.

Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services

Charleston Pro Bono serves the vital legal needs of Charleston’s economically disadvantaged by providing free civil legal assistance. They empower people by providing aid, representation and an array of legal services that grant access to the protections and benefits of our legal system. Members of the community, including countless frontline responders, school personnel and other essential workers, have found themselves in need of legal assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Charleston Pro Bono is making a difference in our community during the pandemic by providing stability for homes and families during these uncertain times.

Camp Happy Days

Camp Happy Days’ mission is to offer support and encouragement to children diagnosed with cancer and their families by providing cost free year-round programs, special events and access to crisis resources. Their goal is to improve the physical, emotional and psychological health of the entire family facing pediatric cancer. What cancer takes away, Camp Happy Days gives back – lots of smiles, laughter and the pure carefree joy of being a kid.
