We love CreateAthon! Well, minus the delirium that follows staying away for 24 hours, working around the clock. But the work we do and the people we do it for are totally worth staying awake for.
What can we say? Our team always gets fired up when working on projects with nonprofits, especially those who are doing remarkable things in our community.
And this year is no different. We’ve already marked our calendars for October 26, 2017 —and it cannot get here soon enough.
For those of you who are wondering, “what in the world is CreateAthon?” Here’s a little backstory:
CreateAthon is a 24-hour marathon where we provide marketing and communication services to nonprofits on a pro bono basis. Selected organizations receive services such as marketing and fundraising plans, logos, websites, direct mail pieces, banners, brand identity packages, website assessments, social media plans and more.
CreateAthon was created by Riggs Partners 20 years ago and our team joined in on the action more than 10 years ago. We are proud to say that TRIO is the official CreateAthon partner for the Lowcountry.
Even though it started in South Carolina, CreateAthon has grown a lot and is now a national 501 (c) 3 organization that recruits marketing and communication agencies, universities, professional organizations and corporate marketing teams as CreateAthon partners. In total, the program has served more than 1,300 nonprofit organizations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, delivering pro bono marketing projects valued at more than $24 million.
