TRIO president and founder joins CreateAthon national board

Jessica Munday, TRIO’s president and founder, has been nominated and selected to serve on the board of directors for CreateAthon, a national nonprofit organization representing more than 100 creative agencies dedicated to social good. CreateAthon’s mission is to build a network of marketing and communications teams to serve in pro bono marketing 24-hour marathons.

TRIO has been a CreateAthon partner since 2007 and is the exclusive CreateAthon agency for the Lowcountry. Since joining the CreateAthon network, TRIO has worked with 55 nonprofits from Hilton Head to Myrtle Beach and communities in between. Over the 11-year span, TRIO’s team has provided more than $200,000 in pro bono services to Lowcountry projects. Each year, the company selects five nonprofit recipients to receive free marketing services. The deliverables for the nonprofits are produced during a creative 24-hour work blitz by TRIO’s employees.

“It is an honor to help lead the national CreateAthon organization and to be a part of something that supports social good and advancing the missions of nonprofits across the country,” said Munday. “I’m looking forward to helping CreateAthon reach its goal of bringing on more agency partners and providing $100 million in pro bono service to nonprofits.”

Munday has worked in the marketing field for more than two decades focusing on developing brands, strategic marketing plans, and digital and traditional marketing implementation plans in order to accomplish the overall business goals of her clients. She received her master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and has a business management and marketing degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Jessica is also an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston where she teaches social media marketing. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband and three children.
