Saying Goodbye to Belk’s Logo

I recently found out that Belk had revamped it’s logo. As a marketer myself, I understand the importance of evolving with the times and reinventing your image when the timing is right. For some reason though, I found myself letting out a little sigh when I saw the new logo. Growing up in the South, Belk was a symbol of Southern Class. I have so many memories of going to the department store with my grandmothers and leaving with the perfect little dress. I felt a sense of nostalgia as I tried to identify with the new look. Can’t some things just stay the same?
