"The OSMBA certification will allow us to be privy to certain contracts that are especially set aside for this type of certification. The process to obtain the certification is not easy and required an interview with the Governor's office," explained Jessica Munday, President of Trio Solutions. Munday founded the Mount Pleasant-based firm in 2001. The goals of the OSMBA are to promote the growth and development of small and minority owned businesses in South Carolina and to advocate that an equitable portion of State procurement contracts be awarded to them. The OSMBA was created by Executive Order in October 1979. There are no loans, grants or guaranteed award of contracts associated with obtaining certification. Based in Mount Pleasant, S.C., Trio Solutions Inc., is a full-service marketing and communications consulting firm with a philosophy to work hard, enjoy life and make a difference.
