Charleston, SC --- Trio Solutions' president, Jessica Munday was selected among hundreds of applicants to present at The Special Event 2008, a conference held on January 15-18, 2008, in Atlanta at the Georgia World Conference Center.

The Special Event is a premier, annual trade show for event professionals in the United States. This week, nearly 9,000 attendees have visited exhibits and attended hands-on workshops, case studies and panel discussions.

Munday presented an educational session for event planners that work for, or with, nonprofit organizations or companies with limited resources. Entitled "Essentials for Planning an Event for a Nonprofit Organization," her presentation covered how to:

• Design an event on a shoestring budget;
• Make the most out of marketing and public relations efforts;
• Work with vendors;
• Solicit sponsorships; and
• Achieve overall event goal(s).

"At this session, we focused on real-world examples that illuminate how to make the most of what you have and how to 'do whatever it takes' to ensure a successful event," explained Munday.
