Charleston, SC --- Krista D. Robertson, vice president of marketing and public relations for Trio Solutions Inc., has been named director of communications for the Charleston chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). Robertson has been actively involved with the AMA for the past few years.

“By participating on the board of the Charleston chapter of AMA, I hope to share my expertise with other marketing professionals and promote the importance of marketing to the community,” says Robertson.

Robertson is a 1994 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and marketing. Robertson also holds a degree in visual arts. Robertson has worked in the field of marketing domestically and internationally for more than ten years focusing in the areas of branding, strategic planning and creative development. Robertson is responsible for directing the overall marketing and strategic planning, corporate communications and media relations programs for Trio Solutions Inc.

The Charleston chapter of the American Marketing Association is a group of professional and student marketers in the Lowcountry. The AMA board is made up of marketing professionals working in the Charleston area who volunteer their time and marketing expertise to improve communications with local and national marketing professionals. The group strives to improve marketing competencies, support the marketing community and promote the importance of marketing.
