TRIO WORKS AROUND THE CLOCK TO HELP FIVE LOCAL NONPROFITS

Charleston, SC - Trio Solutions Inc. is the South Carolina Lowcountry's official CreateAthon® agency. The 2010 CreateAthon will begin on Thursday, September 16, 2010. CreateAthon is a 24-hour, work-around the clock creative blitz during which Trio Solutions Inc. provides marketing and creative services to Lowcountry nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis. The selected nonprofits have little or no marketing budgets.

"Everyone at Trio has a strong desire to give back to the community and CreateAthon gives us the perfect opportunity to utilize our time and talents to do so," explains Jennifer Cherock, vice president of marketing for Trio Solutions. "Nonprofits are struggling now more than ever to obtain funding and money for marketing is often mistakenly the first to go. We're happy to offer our services and to lend a helping hand to the organizations that make such a difference throughout the Lowcountry."

CreateAthon was created by RIGGS advertising agency out of Columbia, South Carolina in 1998. Since the program's expansion from a single market to an international effort in 2001, 73 agencies have joined the CreateAthon network, holding CreateAthon events in their cities. This effort has benefited 1,100 nonprofit organizations with 2,500 projects valued at $11 million.

"The reality is many nonprofits struggle for funding, creating a limitation to invest in professional marketing services," says Jessica Munday, president and founder of Trio Solutions. "We're happy to offer a program that can help address some of those needs and help nonprofits benefit from quality, professional creative services."

The round-the-clock creative work will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September, 16. Work will be presented to the nonprofits on Friday at 8 a.m. The deadline for CreateAthon 2010 applications is Friday, July 30. Trio Solutions will select five organizations to receive CreateAthon 2010 services and will announce the winners on August 31.
