TRIO SOLUTIONS PROVIDES PRO-BONO SERVICES TO LOCAL NONPROFITS
Charleston, SC - Trio Solutions Inc. invites local nonprofit organizations to apply for the 12th annual CreateAthon®, scheduled for September 17, 2009.
CreateAthon is a 24-hour, work-around the clock creative blitz during which Trio Solutions Inc. provides marketing and creative services to Lowcountry nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis. The selected nonprofits have little or no marketing budgets. Trio Solutions is the official CreateAthon agency for the Charleston-metro area.
CreateAthon was created by RIGGS advertising agency out of Columbia, South Carolina in 1997. Since the program's expansion from a single market to an international effort in 2001, 73 agencies have joined the CreateAthon network, holding CreateAthon events in their cities. This effort has benefited over 1,000 nonprofit organizations with 2,248 projects valued at $10 million.
"Nonprofits have always struggled for funding, and it's more important than ever in today's economy to lend a helping hand to the community organizations that do so much," says Jordan Freeman, co-captain of CreateAthon for Trio Solutions. "Money for marketing is often mistakenly the first to go, so we're happy to offer a program that can help address some of those needs."
The round-the-clock creative work will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday. Work will be presented to the nonprofits on Friday at 8 a.m. Trio Solutions Inc. will receive client changes Saturday morning at 8 a.m., then put the pieces on press.
The deadline for CreateAthon 2009 applications is Friday, July 31. Five organizations will be selected by Trio Solutions Inc. to receive CreateAthon 2009 services and will be announced on August 26.
