Giving Back

Paying it forward is in our blood. For us, it’s critical to a happy, healthy work environment, another important way we support each other, our friends and families, clients, business associates and our community.

It might sound corny, but it's a prerequisite to work at Trio. It’s part of our company culture, and has been since the beginning. Call it karma, giving back, paying it forward, making a difference...we just call it the right thing to do.

We take part in many charitable and community activities, regularly participating in fund-raisers and benefit races, and volunteering our time with local organizations.

Some of the many ways we pay it forward:
  • Each holiday, we donate to a nonprofit in honor of our clients
  • We host Createathon every year
  • We support and get behind causes that have a positive social impact, such as Save Veronica Rose, and give it everything we’ve got
  • Each September, we participate in the Trident United Way Day of Caring (last year, we painted the Charleston Miracle League facility)
  • Each Christmas, we “adopt” a family through the Families Helping Families program
  • We sponsor many fund-raising events
  • We avidly recycle, and try our best to reduce and reuse in our office

CREATEATHON

CreateAthon was created by RIGGS advertising agency out of Columbia, South Carolina in 1998. Since the program's expansion from a single market to an international effort in 2001, numerous agencies have joined the CreateAthon network, holding CreateAthon events in their cities around the globe. This effort has benefited more than 1,100 nonprofit organizations with more than 2,500 projects valued at $11 million. Based in Mount Pleasant, TRIO has had the privilege of being the official CreateAthon agency for the Lowcountry.

CreateAthon is a 24-hour, work-around-the-clock creative blitz during which TRIO provides marketing and creative services to Lowcountry nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis. The selected nonprofits typically have little or no marketing budgets.
