Behind the Name
Trio Solutions Inc. was named for the three main marketing areas represented in our initial company service areas: planning, marketing and Web development. Taken directly from our business model, TRIO's name and brand also incorporated the symbolism of the number three, while also perpetuating and embodying the company's
philosophy of working hard, enjoying life and making a difference.
Throughout history, the number three has symbolized stability and balance. From the mystical
power of the pyramids to the establishment of mathematical principles, the shape of the triangle, although so simple, has always represented power and knowledge. From this concept, TRIO's inaugural logo and brand identity was born. The revolving triangle was incorporated into the logo to demonstrate our ability to discover effective solutions for our clients and to remind us to keep life simple.
TRIO: The Remix
With the dawning of a new decade, we've had time to develop ideas of where we've come from, as
a company, where we are now, and where we hope to go in future. As is true for all areas of marketing communications, what worked for a company 10 years ago will likely not represent what the
company has become 10 years later. For us, this has taken the shape of launching a completely new brand identity - one that embodies the agency we've become, and where we see ourselves going.
In addition to our long-standing philosophy, we've added a tagline that we feel truly embodies what we can offer to our clients - the ability to be seen, be heard and be creative.
Over the years we've grown our service offerings tenfold. While we still cling to a desire to keep life simple, our desire to create a full range of services for our clients has pushed us to embrace all of the evolution that has taken place in the arenas of social interaction, technological development and multi-media integration. We have come to terms with the reality that we have outgrown our revolving triangle, and while we will remember it fondly, we are not looking back.
Our new logo, which resembles a top-level view of a diamond or gem, represents the past while at the same time showcases our current growth as an agency and the possibility for exponential growth in the future. TRIO has evolved, but in doing so, we have acquired an even greater appreciation for the importance of remembering our roots - our revolving triangle will always be an important element of our brand identity. TRIO will always be rooted in the power of the number three. No matter how much we change or grow, TRIO will always be TRIO!
